Compassionate memorial care throughout the Cardiff area — helping Welsh families living overseas, and here in the UK, stay connected to the memories of those they love.
We visit, we tend, we photograph — from the heart.

A Calon Clean first visit. Years of moss and biological growth removed, the inscription brought back to full clarity, the surround tidied and fresh flowers laid.
Cared for through Calon Keep, with regular monthly visits. Withered tributes cleared, the stone cleaned and polished, and fresh flowers placed each time.
A Calon Clean first visit. The plaque cleaned and its lettering revived, the surround cleared and bright spring tulips planted in memory.
Every memorial begins with a Calon Clean — a thorough first visit to bring the resting place up to standard. From there, we can keep it that way, mark the dates that matter, or arrange something entirely your own.
The caring first visit for every memorial — a thorough clean and refresh to bring your loved one's resting place back up to standard.
Ongoing care that keeps the memorial at its best all year round — available once your first Calon Clean is complete. Choose the rhythm that suits you.
A personal visit on the dates that matter most — a birthday, an anniversary, Mother's Day, Father's Day, or any day close to your heart.
Something more particular in mind? Whatever you need — a special request, a combination of services, or care we haven't listed here — simply talk to us and we'll arrange it around you.
If you're unable to see the grave yourself, we'll visit on your behalf, take clear photographs, and send you an honest written report on its condition — along with our recommendation and a no-obligation quote.
Should you go ahead with any Calon service, your assessment fee is deducted in full from your first visit. If you decide not to proceed, you keep the photographs and report — with no further cost.
If you don't know the plot number: that's very common, and not a problem. Some cemeteries charge a search fee to locate a grave from the name and dates — this can be up to £70, and it's set by the cemetery, not by us. We'll always find out the exact cost first and come back to you for your approval before anything is spent. Nothing is ever charged without your say-so.
Getting started takes five minutes. Everything else, we handle.
Fill in the short form below — tell us which cemetery, which grave, and what you're looking for. We'll respond personally within 24 hours.
Mark visits the grave, assesses what's needed, and sends you clear photographs with an honest report and quote — all for a £30 assessment fee, fully deducted from your first visit should you go ahead. No surprises, and no obligation to proceed.
Using conservation-safe methods and care in every detail, we clean, restore, tidy and tend the grave exactly as agreed.
Before and after photographs sent to you the same day — so you always know it's been done, and done well.

My name is Mark, and I founded Calon Memorial Care after recognising a need within our local communities.
While visiting my own family's graves, I noticed that many memorials had become neglected — not because they were forgotten, but because loved ones often live too far away to visit regularly. For many families, that distance brings real worry and sadness, especially when they can't personally care for a grave that means so much to them.
After a long career in the NHS, caring for people came naturally to me — and this feels like a continuation of that same calling.
Living elsewhere does not diminish the love and respect you hold for those who have passed.— Mark, Calon Memorial Care
At Calon Memorial Care, we understand the deep connection people feel to their family roots, and the hiraeth — that particularly Welsh longing for home — that comes from being away. Calon is the Welsh word for heart, and it felt like the only right name.
Based in the heart of the community, we provide professional, respectful memorial care throughout Cardiff and the surrounding area. From headstone cleaning and grave tending to regular maintenance visits, we act as your trusted local hands — making sure your loved one's resting place is cared for with dignity and respect.
Our goal is simple: to give you peace of mind, knowing that even when you can't be there yourself, your loved one's memorial is being looked after with the care it deserves.
All stone cleaning follows heritage conservation guidance — safe for historic stonework, listed memorials, and every stone type found in Cardiff's cemeteries.
No obligation. Just tell us a little about the grave and what you're looking for — Mark will respond personally within 24 hours, wherever in the world you are.
